About Apollo Aviation Group

With its origins as an aviation advisory boutique, Apollo has become an alternative investment manager with more than $800 million in aviation assets under management as of December 31, 2010. Led by its founders, William Hoffman and Robert Korn, Apollo is currently investing a $213 million fund, the Sciens Aviation Special Opportunities Fund (SASOF), as well as several private accounts.

Apollo specializes in supplying the aftermarket with discounted Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts by acquiring and dismantling mature aircraft and engines. We also lease and trade commercial aircraft and engines.

Our approach to investing is highly disciplined and relies upon attention to technical detail. We create value with an investment philosophy that unlocks the best returns available from commercial aircraft in general and from end-of-life flight equipment in particular.

We continually invest in state-of-the-art systems and methods. We also have built a strong team, with extensive and deep relationships in the world’s aviation industry that helps uncover exceptional investment opportunities. Typically, our principals and shareholders are investors in the funds that we manage.

Sciens Capital Management, an alternative asset manager with more than $5.5 billion under management, invested in Apollo in 2007.
